Mr. Raymond Aldean Brannan, 87 of Eton, GA passed away August 22, 2025. He was born November 6, 1937 in McDonough, GA to the late Lewis B. Brannan and Stella S. Brannan. Mr. Brannan was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis O. Brannan, James R. Brannan, and Horace P. Brannan.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Barbara Manders Brannan. He is also survived by his daughter Kim Brannan Hart (Dennis), of Dalton, and son, Mark Brannan, of Eton; grandchildren, Melissa Ralston (Logan) and Avery Hart (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Henry & Caroline Ralston and Nora & Bennett Hart; sister Martha B. Mann, brothers George Brannan (Tommye) of Braselton, GA and Tom Brannan (Linda) of Hayesville, NC, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Brannan proudly served his country in the United States Army as a mechanic. Raymond was a talented craftsman, always building or fixing something. He was an avid NASCAR fan and in his early days, enjoyed working on a pit crew at Daytona in 1977. He loved having a garden and could grow anything in any kind of dirt. He was a family man who, above-all loved the Lord. He was quick to share his faith and pictures of his grandbabies. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 24th at 4pm from the Mountaintown Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Parker officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 24th from 2pm unitl the service hour at 4pm at the Mountaintown Baptist Church.
Flowers are accepted or donation may be made to the Cool Springs Baptist Church in Chatsworth, GA or Mountaintown Baptist Church in Ellijay, GA In Memory of Mr. Brannan.
Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
