Mrs. Shawn Kristina Kilbourn, age 49 of Ellijay, passed away on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 at the Northside Atlanta Hospital.

Shawn was born on July 1st, 1975 in Augusta, Georgia. She was a member of the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church and a High School Teacher at the church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Steve Kilbourn of Ellijay; mother, Linda Bagwell of Ball Ground, GA; son, Steven Kilbourn of Ellijay; four daughters, Kiana Kilbourn of Ellijay, Selena Kilbourn of Ellijay, Kristina (Nathan) Byrd of Ellijay, and Kaitlyn Kilbourn of Mineral Bluff, GA; two sisters, Angela (Lee) Cooley of Ball Ground, GA and Melinda Brown of Ball Ground, GA; seven grandchildren, Kai Shonk, Soren Shonk, Slate Shonk, Koltran Shonk, Kaegan Jean Shonk, Kasen Kilbourn, and Sage Kilbourn, and a host of church family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church with her husband, Pastor, Rev. Steve Kilbourn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Don Baker, Gene Garland, Kyle Patterson, Mike Winchester, Brian Taylor, and Rylan Piper.

Mrs. Kilbourn will lie-in-state at the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Food and Flowers will be accepted at the church or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church Missionary Fund c/o  Bro. Mike Winchester at 1299 Sunlight Rd. Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mrs. Shawn Kristina Kilbourn.
