Steven Shapiro, 77, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away on January 17, 2026. Born on January 29, 1948, Steven lived a life rooted in the values of family, friendship, and a deep love for the outdoors.

He found his greatest peace outside—whether fishing quiet waters or heading out on a hunt—and he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. A loyal fan through and through, he carried that same loyalty into his relationships.

Most of all, Steven will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends, and for the warmth, humor, and steadiness he brought into their lives. He leaves behind many who will miss him deeply and remember him fondly.
