Ms. Susan Alberta Cavanaugh, age 67 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, August 7th, 2023 at the Northside Cherokee Hospital.

Ms. Cavanaugh was born on May 23rd, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Navarre Harcourt and the late Betty Gazaway Harcourt. She was a banker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She loved to stitch, cross stitch, her beagle, her loving family, and her faith. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cavanaugh is preceded in death by her loving husband, Steven Cavanaugh, and sister, Janet Tippens.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Katy Cavanaugh of Roswell, GA, and grandchildren, Sophia Cavanaugh and Rory Cavanaugh.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 11th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Rosser officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on the same day, Friday, August 11th, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 115 Pleasant Grove Rd, Ellijay, GA 30540.
