Mrs. Susan Underwood Moody, age 74, of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Mrs. Moody was born on January 21, 1952, in Rochester, New York, to the late Arthur Louis Underwood, Jr. and Elizabeth Emery Underwood. Susan grew up in Atlanta, graduating from Druid Hills High School and with a BA from Emory University. She enjoyed a successful career as a Realtor with Woodland Realty, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving others. Licensed since 1978, Susan devoted nearly five decades to the real estate profession and became a respected figure throughout the North Georgia real estate community. Her extensive knowledge, strong work ethic, and genuine care for her clients earned her the trust and friendship of many.

Alongside her late husband, Henry, Susan played a role in the development of several North Georgia communities. She was passionate about helping families find a place to call home and was always willing to share her knowledge and experience with others.

Outside of her career, Susan had a special love for animals and country life. She especially cherished her Gypsy horses and enjoyed spending time caring for them on a farm outside of Ellijay. She found great joy in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures of life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Henry Langdon Moody.

She is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert "Bob" Underwood of Atlanta, GA, and Paul (Mary) Underwood of Atlanta, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mrs. Moody's wishes, she will be cremated.
