Mrs. Tena Newton age 75 of Ellijay passed away on September 2 ^nd 2022 from the Parkside Nursing Home.

Mrs. Newton was born August 6 ^th 1947 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late Harold Jones and Irene Worley Jones. She worked in the textile industry. She was also of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include Sons; Scott Newton, Andrews NC, Keith Mathis, Ellijay Brother; Vernon Jones, Jasper, Sister; Betsy Stewart, Ellijay 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 6 ^th 2022 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Scott to be officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday September 6 ^th 2022 from 9am until funeral hour of 2pm at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Newton.
