Terry Canales Maricle, age 70 of Jasper, passed February 20, 2023 of Parkinson's Disease.

She was born in San Antonio, TX to Reba Dunn Canales and Jose R. Canales. Terry spent most of her childhood in Marietta, GA along with her 4 brothers. She graduated from Osborne High School in Marietta. Terry was working and going to Technical School when she became reacquainted with David Maricle.  He had just recently returned from his service in the Vietnam War. They dated, fell in love and soon were married. They settled in Woodstock, GA. Where they raised their children, daughter Tanya and son John Paul.

Terry retired from the Centers for Disease Control after a long and distinguished career.  Terry and David retired to Ellijay, GA. where her in-laws Red and India Maricle lived. Terry loved watching sunrises and watching the deer while enjoying a cup of coffee. Terry loved walking and snuggling with her dog, Holly Berry.  Terry often went on quilting retreats and beach trips with her quilting group, The Salty Sistas and her best friend Edie Canales. What Terry treasured the most was time spent with her large extended family.

Terry especially loved spending time with her beloved grandson Logan at the beach, along with the rest of her immediate family. Terry loved to travel and spent many vacations with her husband David.  Terry also enjoyed just relaxing at home on the couch with David. David says Terry was the most beautiful person he has ever known and he will miss her dearly the rest of his days.

Terry is survived by her husband;  David J. Maricle, Daughter; Tanya D. Maricle, Son; John Paul Maricle (Brandy) Grandson; Logan, Step-Granddaughter; Callie, Father; Jose R. Canales, Brother; Joe R. Canales (Edie) and children, Brother; Roy D. Canales (Vicki) and children, Brother; Alexander Canales and children, Brother; Troy Canales. Terry is also survived by many nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.
