Mr. Terry Lee Newton, age 66 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, July 22nd, 2024.

Terry was born on September 23rd, 1957 in Tate, GA to the late Herman William Newton and Dessie Faye (Chastain) Newton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Newton is preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Newton.

Terry is survived by his wife, Ellen Newton; son, Terry Hill Newton of Ellijay; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith (Angela) Hamby of Ellijay; Donnie Newton of Ellijay, and Ronnie (Debra) Newton of Dalton; two sisters, Lisa Hamby of Ellijay and Linda Jones of Lafayette, GA; special friend, Teresa Ray; three grandchildren, Bryson Newton, Eli Newton, and Zoe Newton, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 4:00 pm from the Flat Creek Baptist Church. Internment will follow imminently after in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers, Dwayne Newton, Chris Newton, Colton Parten, Braxtyn Newberry, Bryson Newton, Derrick Hamby, Michael "Mike" Hart, and Steven Fendley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 from 3:00pm-9:00pm and again on Friday, July 26th, 2024 from 9:00am until 3:30pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
