Mr. Ted Robert Barrett, 78 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, December 26th, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Barrett was born on July 6th, 1944, in Cairo, GA to the late Thomas Littleton Barrett and Atherlone Burnum Barrett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several siblings. Ted proudly served in the US Army and for several years worked in Civil Service at the Marine base in Albany, GA.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Garrison Barrett; four sons, Mark Barrett, Keith Barrett, Mark Cory, and Tracy Cory, sister; Marilyn Golden, sister-in-law, Jeanie Barrett; brother-in-law, JN Carter; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren also survive.

To honor his wishes, Mr. Barrett will be cremated, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14th from 2:00 pm until the service hour 3:00 pm.
