Mr. Thomas Wayne Dazey age 50, of Ellijay, GA passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Thomas was born on August 31, 1976, in Florida. He was a man who knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. He loved playing disc golf and video games, and after a long day at work, there was nothing better than coming home, settling in, and getting lost in one of his favorite games. He also had a love for anime and music.

Thomas had a big heart, when it came to his sister’s pets. He absolutely loved them and treated them like they were his own. And while he loved his sister dearly, that certainly never stopped him from picking on her whenever he got the chance. Giving her a hard time was just one of the ways he showed his love—and, of course, he probably enjoyed getting a reaction out of her just as much.

Thomas is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Maturo Dazey.

Thomas is survived by his father, Gary Wayne Dazey; sister, Catina Scott (Christopher); uncles, Terry “T.J.” Dazey (Amy); Anthony Maturo, and Michael Maturo; nephews, Zachary Wright (Sara), and Thomas Wright; great nephews, Xander Wright and Reagan Wright; he is also survived by his dog, Letty and cat, Khoun’na.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 4 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Jensen officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24th from 3 pm until 4 pm at the funeral home.
