Welchel

Tina Welchel, age 61 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at the Northside Hospital of Atlanta.

Tina was born on August 27, 1963, in Oklahoma. She retired as a supervisor, from Mohawk. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Thrasher. Tina loved animals, especially her dogs. She also loved living in the mountains and working outside with her dogs by her side. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Lanney Welchel, Ellijay; sons, Eric Cruse (Lacey) of Macon, and Brandon Cruse (Samantha) of Rockford TX; brothers; Sam Thrasher of TN, George Thrasher, and 3 grandchildren, Bailey Cruse, Kaitlyn Thomas, Alaina Hussey.

The family will be receiving friends for a visitation only on Saturday, September 21st from 2 pm until 4 pm at the funeral home.
