Mr. Tony Evon Barnes, age 72 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, August 15th, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Barnes was born on June 2nd, 1953 in Dalton, GA to the late Thurston Barnes and the late Betty Carter Barnes. In addition to his parents, Tony is preceded in death by his wife, Rayena Barnes, and sister, Cheryl Barnes.

He is survived by his two sons, Justin Barnes and Benny Barnes, both of Ellijay, GA; brother, Jerry Barnes of Ellijay, and sister, Cathy Ayers of Ellijay.

To honor Mr. Barnes' wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. He will be inurned in the Berean Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
