Mr. Tony Allen Smith, age 62 of Chatsworth, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lewis Smith; grandchildren, Joseph Campbell, baby Campbell, and baby Eckels; nephew, Noah Baggett.

Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Mary Ellen Rymer Smith of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Lynn Bafford of Cleveland, TN, Jessica and Mark Eckels of Mineral Bluff, GA, Melissa and Shane Duggan of Chatsworth, and Amanda and Ryan Stanley of Alabama; mother, Bennetta Smith of Ellijay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Carl Johnson of Murphy, NC and Christy and Rickey Blalock of Gainesville, GA; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nephew, Cody Baggett; and two nieces, Donna Mathis and Shayla Blaylock.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Tony Allen Smith will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Patterson and Rev. Shane Duggan officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home of Ellijay, GA.

Interment will follow from the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, GA.

The family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Mary Smith to help with the final expenses.
