Mr. Tyler Joe Kirkland, age 19 formerly of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, July 10th, 2023 in Odessa, TX.

Mr. Kirkland was born in Jasper on December 11th, 2003 to Larry Joe Kirkland and Janine Williams. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, floating down the river, and spending time with his "Paw" on the farm. Mr. Kirkland also enjoyed traveling and baseball. He was a loving, tenderhearted boy who loved his family.

Survivors include his mother, Janine Watkins; father, Larry Joe Kirkland; grandparents, David and Diana Williams, Pamela and Todd Downs, and Larry and Brenda Kirkland; four brothers, Jaren Curtis, Landen McClure, Aiden Reyes, and Jacob Watkins; sister, Jacie Watkins; and several aunts and uncles also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Brondy Davis and Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Yukon Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Jaren Curtis, Landen McClure, Billy Goswick, David Williams, Jacob Watkins, and Brayden Williams.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 19th from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
