Mrs. Vay Linda Watkins, age 76, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, formerly of Cherry Log, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Born on August 12, 1949, in Ellijay, she was the beloved daughter of the late Christopher and Mae Bradburn Watkins. A woman of the Baptist faith, Vay Linda carried her beliefs with quiet grace throughout her life.

She will be remembered most for her deep love for her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her heart. Vay Linda found happiness in life's simple pleasures, spending time outdoors, casting a line while fishing, and soaking in the beauty of nature.

She held a special dream close to her heart of one day visiting Montana, drawn to its wide-open landscapes and natural beauty, a reflection of her own love for the outdoors.

In addition to her parents, Vay is preceded in death by her siblings, Sanson Watkins and Sue Carroll.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Daniel (Sheila) Davenport, Adam Davenport, and Shanan (Joey) Pittman; brother, Lee Watkins; sisters, Sadie Ethridge and Virginia Crider; 7 grandchildren, Dana Stanfield, Gina Davenport, Erin Davenport, Matthew Phillips, Kristie Patterson, Bryson Davenport, and Logan Davenport; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services are planned and will be announced at a later date.

Vay Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
