Mrs. Vera Mae Waddell Padgett, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022. She was born on September 9, 1926, almost 96 years old.

She was born to Clay and Annie Pearl Morris Waddell in Ellijay Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years Dallas Padgett, daughter Juanita Jones son Phillip Padgett, daughter Jackie Fielder and son Danny Padgett and grandson Terry Dunn.

One of ten siblings she is survived by brother Roy Lee Waddell and grandchildren, Sheri Hawkins, Leigh Jones, Jeff Dunn, Stacy Patterson, Jennifer Vick, Rodney Padgett, Missy Keena and Josh Padgett.

She was retired from Lockheed where she worked for 35 years 5 months and was the first female instructor.

A Godly woman, she loved reading the Bible, working in her gardens, cooking her famous chocolate cake, using her chainsaw and spending time with her family.

She donated her body years ago to Emory School of Medicine.

She requested no funeral.

To know her was to love her. Rest high on that mountain Grans! We will miss you.
