Obituary

Mrs. Vercel Lee Wright Miller age 92, of Ellijay, GA passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025 with her daughter Dianne at her side.

She was the daughter of the late Fletcher Wright and late Delma Reece Wright. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Osborne Miller; sister, Carol Mulkey (Charles); brothers, Gene Wright (Christine), Paul Wright (Barbara), Harold Wright (Mary), and infant brother, Cecil Wright; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Jim Waters (Jean), and Edmund Miller (Sue); and her special lap dog, Ellie.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Dianne Miller, of the home; many nieces and nephews and her special church family.

Vercel enjoyed going to church service, sewing dresses for little girls in Africa, quilting, gardening, flowers, crafts, and especially bird houses. She was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ and over the years she has taught many Sunday School classes while living in South Carolina.

Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 2pm at the Ellijay Church of Christ in Ellijay, GA with Minister Jeremy Green officiating. Music will be by the Church Congregation; singing will be led by Barry Kinglsey. Prayers by Mark Pettit and Tim Hall. Private family internment will follow the service at the Yukon Cemetery in Ellijay, GA. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers for the service, Ronnie Wright, James Wright, Eddy Mullinax, Ken White, John Johnson, and Junior Jenkins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18th from 1pm until the service hour at the Ellijay Church of Christ.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Ellijay Church of Christ Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Vercel Wright Miller.
