Mr. Waynie David Parks, age 73 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, December 12th, 2025.

Mr. Parks was born on February 28th, 1952 in Ellijay, GA to the late Paul Franklin Parks and the late Bertha Lucille Ash Parks. Mr. Parks was born on February 28, 1952, in Ellijay, Georgia, to the late Paul Franklin Parks and the late Bertha Lucille Ash Parks. He worked as a brick mason for many years and took great pride in his craft. Mr. Parks dearly loved his family and cherished time spent with them. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks is preceded in death by his three brothers, Larry Parks, Ray Parks, and Bobby Parks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mrs. Hilda Parks; three sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne (Carline) Parks of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Daniel Parks of Ellijay, GA, and Toby Parks of Ellijay, GA; daughter, Hillary Parks of Ellijay, GA; 10 grandchildren, Alisha, Ashley, Tyler, Taylor, Peyton, Nathan, Franklin, Danielle, Kaleb, and Kayla, and 9 great-grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 15th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from Emmanuel Full Gospel Church with Pastor Bill Quarles officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15th, 2025 from 12:00 p.m., noon, until the service hour of 1:00 p.m at the church.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. Waynie Parks.
