Mr. David Wesley McArthur, age 51 of Ellijay, passed away on Sunday, August 6th, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. McArthur was born June 8th, 1972 in Ellijay to Lloyd Arvin McArthur and the late Inzy Dockery McArthur. He was employed by Ingles Supermarket here in Ellijay as a Deli Worker. Mr. McArthur is preceded in death by his mother, Inzy Dockery McArthur.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Odom McArthur of Ellijay; father, Lloyd Arvin McArthur; children, Laiklin McArthur of Jasper, Kayleigh McArthur of Jasper, Willow McArthur of Ellijay; siblings, Darlene (Herb) White of Smithville, TN; Lloyd (Gwen) McArthur of Ellijay, Virginia (Ed) Findley of Ellijay, Glenda (Arlan) Allison of Ellijay, Nancy (Dwayne) House of Oregon City, Or, and Mark (Angie) McArthur of Ellijay.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 11th, 2023 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10th, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses of Mr. Wesley McArthur.
