Mr. William Thomas Currie, age 91 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at Sonshine Manor.

Mr. Currie was born on January 7th, 1932, in Fulton County, to the late Fred and Carrie Currie. He served in the United States Army and worked for Trust Company Bank for 34 years. Mr. Currie was also a member of Oak Hill Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Currie.

Survivors include his son, Michael Currie of Jasper; and six grandchildren, Stephen, Erin, Christie, Greg, Josh, and Melessia Currie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Heather Nysewander officiating. Masonic rites will be performed. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Stone Mountain.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. William Currie. However, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
