William Gerald Davis, age 93, of Ellijay passed away on  Friday, October 24, 2025 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. He was born to the late Thomas and Theo Davis in Haywood County, North Carolina on December 7, 1932. In his fulfilling life, William was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked for several years as an Aircraft Mechanic for Eastern Airlines.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Carrol Nanney Davis, and sisters, Jean (Bill) Higgins and Shirley Davis.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Trudy (Dan) Cox; sons, Steve (Gail) Davis and Russell (Jackie) Davis; Brother, Bennie (Sue) Davis; Sister, Gail (Gerald) Wiggins, along with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.
