William H. Hutchinson Jr., age 80 of Ellijay, passed on Saturday, January 17, 2026. William "Bill" Hutchinson Jr. was a man of deep faith, humble service, and unwavering love—for God, for his country, and for all living things. A devoted follower of the Lord, Bill dedicated his life to serving God and others with sincerity, compassion, and quiet strength.

He attended Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where his faith and calling were further shaped. Bill held a deep and abiding love for the nation of Israel and spent three meaningful years serving at Christ Church in Jerusalem. During this time, he and his wife, Donna, faithfully managed a guest home, welcoming visitors with warmth, generosity, and a spirit of true Christian hospitality.

Bill also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His military service reflected his strong sense of duty, courage, and love for his nation.

In his personal life, Bill found great joy in music and often expressed himself through playing the guitar. He had a special love for animals and treated them with the same kindness and care he showed to everyone he met. Known for his gentle nature and generous heart, he was deeply loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed.

Bill leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love—one that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

He is preceded in death by his father, William H. Hutchinson Sr, and his mother, Rachel Hewin Hutchinson.

Survivors include his loving wife Donna Duncan Hutchinson; (When this obituary was first posted, Donna was still living, as of February 4, 2026, just a few short days after his passing, Donna passed away). Survived by his daughter, Abigail Paige (Matthew) of Ellijay; his sister, Alice Saunders; his sister-and brother-in-law, Barbara Lopez (Lyn) and a host of family and friends also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. William Hutchinson Jr. and his precious wife Donna Duncan Hutchinson, will be Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from the Emmanuel Full Gospel Church at 6:00pm.
