Mr. William Douglas Padgett, age 50 of Ellijay, passed away Sunday, September 11th, 2022.

Mr. Padgett was born on April 20th, 1972 in Jasper to Patrick Padgett and Patricia Young Padgett. He was a truck driver for Chastain Septic Tank & Grading. Mr. Padgett is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Padgett.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Padgett; mother, Patricia Padgett; three sons, Christopher Padgett, Cody Padgett, and Coleman Padgett; daughter, Cassie Padgett; two sisters, Edie Padgett and Melissa Ledbetter; three grandchildren, Ethan Edmondson, Kenzlie Edmondson, and Makinna Padgett; and grandchild to be, Avery Douglass, also survives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will be Daniel Crawford, Jeremy Hamrick, Robert Allen, and Buddy Davis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers and food, donations can be made to Amy Padgett to help with funeral expenses.
