William Gordon Robertson Jr.

William Gordon Robertson Jr., age 97, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Mr. Robertson was born on May 29, 1928, to the late William Gordon Robertson Sr. and Georgia Hogan Robertson. He dedicated his professional life to engineering, working with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in the field of Aerospace Technology. A proud veteran, Mr. Robertson served his country honorably in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his son, Carl Alan.

He was a devoted member of Cartecay Baptist Church and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene; his three sons, Gordon III, Dan, and Tom; four grandsons; four granddaughters; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: John Elder
John Rapson, Nick Bryant, Howard "Duffy" Strohl, Bobby Bradford, and Charles Yancey.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 9, from 9:00 AM until the service hour at 11:00 AM.
